Mask up. Socially distance. Vaccinate when it's your turn.
Toyota is committed to helping stop the spread of COVID-19. We encourage you to follow all local safety restrictions, and to do the following:
• Wear a face mask over your nose and mouth.
• Practice social distancing: remain six feet away from others, avoid crowds, and limit the time you spend indoors with anyone who does not live in your household.
• As soon as you're eligible, get vaccinated against COVID-19. Click here to find out more.
Doing our part.
Toyota has donated thousands of gloves, cotton swabs, safety glasses, and other supplies from our manufacturing and parts distribution centers across the U.S. to help protect those on the front lines.
Because of the urgent need for additional safety equipment for first responders and healthcare workers, Toyota's TILT Lab has partnered closely with our R&D, Engineering and Toyota AI Ventures teams to stamp, print and assemble face shields and visors as quickly as possible, producing over 500,000 face shields to date.
Amid growing demand for emergency relief as a result of COVID-19, the Toyota USA Foundation awarded $2.5 million in grants to a variety of nonprofits across the nation. Funds address crucial needs - particularly food assistance - in urban hot spots and in many communities where Toyota operates. In addition, the Toyota USA Foundation approved grants totaling $3.3 million to support e-learning for students in 13 states. These grants will fund WiFi access points, mobile WiFi, devices, laptop computers, and software licenses, helping more than 350,000 students access virtual learning.
Toyota is also collaborating with its nonprofit partners in the LGBTQ+ community to better serve client and patient healthcare needs during the pandemic.
For an estimated 4 million people nationwide, traveling to a COVID-19 vaccination site presents a significant challenge. To help make vaccines accessible for homebound Americans, Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) has partnered with national and local nonprofit organizations, providing more than 50 vehicles across 13 states and distributing grant funding to various multicultural organizations throughout the country.
We will continue to look into ways we can devote resources and aid to those who need it most. For up-to-date news from Toyota on how we are dedicated to helping our community move forward, click below to visit our Toyota Newsroom.
